EduVenturing – Blissful Bathtime for Everyone

Eduventuring - Blissful Bathtime For Everyone

Over the past few years we have been introduced to a whole new world of bathtime fun. We have been very privileged to try different bath products – each unique and special in their very own way, but it is not very often that mommy gets to be spoiled too. Eduventuring sent both A and I some bathtime spoils and it was just so heavenly. But before I dive into the details, I would like to introduce you to the small local company and the amazing woman behind it!

Who and What is Eduventuring

EduVenturing was birthed when single mom Jacqueline lost her job due to Covid last year. Jacquiline, as many other moms, had to homeschool her almost 4 year old girl through using the videos sent by the school. This was when Jacqueline realized that the schools were teaching children by saying and showing, whereas kids learn best when using their senses. She decided to develop her first education box, which she named the adventure box. This box was focused on teaching children the concepts of numbers and letters in a multi-sensory way. She then decided that this was not enough and attended a bath bomb making workshop, and then went on to develop her own formulas in order to expand her little business. What an incredible way to pick yourself up and SMASH life!

Our Experience

First up is little A:

A was sent some soap dough, green bath drops (or dino drops as A called them) and some bath fizzies with toys.

The soap dough

The soap dough comes in 5 colors – orange, pink, Blue, Purple and Green. These soaps are naturally made with two soap bases. One is made with clay and coconut oil and the other soap base is made only with glycerin and coconut. The soap bases have no added chemicals and are SLES free. These soaps are also 100% vegan and vegetarian.

What mom liked about the Soap dough:

  1. It is hypoallergenic which means it is perfect for all skin types, especially A’s very sensitive skin.
  2. Not only is it hypoallergenic, but it is also GOOD for his skin.
  3. The soap dough can be used as a soap and as an educational tool. I loved that A could play and learn whilst getting himself clean – it’s a win-win.
  4. The smell! You will read this on every single one of the products, because ALL of her products smelled divine, even though we were informed that the dough is actually unscented and probably just absorbed the fragrance from the other products!
  5. Last but not least – They wash of EASILY!! Yayy!

What A liked about the Soap Dough:

  1. He loved the texture of the soap dough, because it was something DIFFERENT and NEW to him! The texture and consistency is different to normal play dough which makes it an exciting sensory play activity – whether inside or outside of the bath.
  2. He said they smelled “yummy”, he even tried tasting them because they smelled sooo good, but the taste got a thumbs down from him. (The dough is actually unscented but absorbed the fragrance from the other products in our parcel).
  3. He enjoyed using the dough to create different creatures and clay models. I loved watching his little imagination come alive in the bath. Think of it as play doh for bathtime.
  4. He loved watching how the dough foams up in the water, he was really mesmerized by this!
  5. He also loved the happy, bright colors and couldn’t wait to try all of them.

Onto our next product:

The Bath Drops, re-named by A as Dino drops

These fun little drops look like tiny green volcanos and are made with nourishing and moisturizing oils to help promote healthy skin, fight infections, relief stress and has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

What A loved:

These drops were such a beautiful bath time treat for A. He would pop one in and watch it fizz while it releases its color and change the bath water as it dissolves, and then shout with excitement as it disappeared into the now colorful bath water.

I loved that we only needed to use one drop for the full effect, so a little goes a very long way. The drops also made his skin feel so so soft, smooth and clean which took me right back to having a little newborn for that brief moment. I used them as a quiet time bathtime activity for those days where A seemed a bit overstimulated, agitated and overtired and it seemed to have calmed him a little before bedtime.

Next up is:

The Bath Fizzies with toys

These are like little lucky packets for the bath and definitely were A’s favorite! The bath fizzies are handmade with love and care. They are made with only the best food grade Aluminium free ingredients imported from Italy. A few different moisturizing oils like Sweet almond oil, Coconut Oil and Grapeseed are also used in the bath fizzies. The fizzies have a blend of Lavender, Cedarwood and Melissa for antibacterial and anti-viral properties and also have a calming, relaxing and soothing effect for body and mind.

What mama liked about them:

  1. They are really of top notch quality! I have used a wide variety of bath fizzies with A, since they are such a big hit with him and none of them could even compare to these!
  2. The toys! I am used to finding these cheap spongy toys inside of the fizzies, and quite frankly I can’t stand them. They are excellent for art activities, BUT A always ends up tearing them apart into itsy bitsy pieces and you just find sponge everywhere. I honestly didn’t expect much more from these fizzies, and was pleasantly surprised when A found the toy in his fizzy. The toys inside of these fizzies are also imported and made from quality silicon/rubber.
  3. More on the TOYS – These toys actually absorb the fragrance from the oils and have been used as fragrance diffusers in clothing cupboards, so it’s a multi-purpose toy! How awesome is that!
  4. The smell, the smell, the smell – need I say more.
  5. I love how you could immediately feel the effect of the bath bombs on both A and my own skin. I never want to bath without them ever again!

What A loved:

  1. The surprise factor. A always love 1. Watching the bath water change color and 2. Waiting for the toy to reveal itself with such excitement. These are definitely great treats or rewards for good behavior, doing his chores, etc. because they get him so excited!
  2. The toy – He loved that it was actually a toy that he could play with inside or outside of the bath, instead of just another spongy that could be added to our arts and crafts drawer.

And finally it’s time for the MOMS!

Jacquiline spoiled me with some mini bath bombs and a special blend of bath salts with Jasmine and Geranium essential oils.

The Mini Bath bombs

I know it says mini, but they were still huge and such a wonderful treat. The smell, the fizz, the release of all of the essential oils – it’s everything a woman needs after a long, hard day to relax, re-charge and to just catch that second breath. I felt like a goddess lying in my warm, bubbly and fizzing bath surrounded by the heavenly scents of paradise. I need to get myself some more… NOW and hide them far far away from A.

In Conclusion:

There was nothing that I disliked or could find fault with at all, in fact I can’t wait to place my next order! Even the tubs that the products come in are reusable and recyclable! I mean… Jacquiline really thought of everything and I am so blessed and grateful to have crossed paths with this incredible small, local company. I only mentioned a few of her incredible products, but I do want to encourage you to check out her social media platform to see what else she offers! Some of the other fun products I spotted in her catalogue includes a wonder powder (a powder that comes in one color and then changes into another color when it comes into contact with water), space dust and all of her adventure boxes that just makes learning look like so much fun! You can find her on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/edu.ventur.ing/ or contact her directly on 074 530 5742.

All of these products get a thumbs up from both A and I!

Lots of love,

A & Mommy Xx
