Koningskind Aktiwiteitsboks - An Activity Box with a Twist
When I saw the Koningskind advert on Facebook it wasn’t the attractive packaging or all of the amazing educational activities that caught my attention, no, although it was colorful and fun, I have seen so many different activity boxes doing the rounds and were even subscribed to some – all of which were colorful, fun, and educational. What really set Koningskind apart from their competition was the fact that each theme is based on the Word of God – WOW! I have been trying to teach Aryan the Word of God for a while now, but it has been such a struggle to find Bible story books that are interactive and engaging since those are the only types of books that keeps Aryan’s attention and focus for longer than 2 minutes, and when you do find them, they are incredibly expensive on top of it. I instantly knew that this would be the solution to my problem, what better way to teach him the Word of God than through play! Koningskind Aktiwiteitsboks were founded by Marissa and Johanri who were just two stay at home/ working part time mommies with a passion for God’s Word. “We love the Lord and want our children to know Him, but with today’s busy life we knew that it can be hard to find time for all of it, so we decided to try something new and we prepared all of these activities based on the Bible so that we, and other families, can spend more quality time together and with the Lord”. Being an occupational therapist and a former A+ student teacher, they know and understand that children learn through play and therefore will not only learn to love the Word of God, but will actually remember it, because they are doing fun, physical activities. The activities in the box are designed to help children develop cognitive and language skills, but most importantly to have a heart for Jesus and a love for His Word!
What are the advantages of ordering a Koningskind Aktiwiteitsboks:
- If you are a stay at home mom you will not have to search or think of activities to do with your child at home in order to stimulate and entertain your child anymore. The box comes with 15 activities (basically 4 activities for each week) that are already planned and prepared for you, saving you a lot of time and effort.

Aryan and I decided to take the Noah’s ark box for a test run and I have been pleasantly surprised. The first thing I noticed when opening the box was the attention to detail – Upon opening I received a personalized, handwritten welcome note, a little scripture card and the information booklet. I also love how organized and neat the box is, with each activity in its own ziplock bag carefully sealed and stamped with a number so that you know exactly which materials should be used for that specific activity. The box’s activities are fun and Aryan actually enjoys them, especially the sensory play activities off course. I also love how the activities were carefully prepared and thought through to work for a 6 month old and a 6 year old making it easy for moms with more than one child to work from and enjoy the same box.

Koningskind boxes are suitable for children 6 months old to 6 years old and is available in Afrikaans and English. There are currently 2 boxes available for order: 1. The Creation and 2. Noah’s Ark. A new box and theme will be launched every 3 months, with the next one being launched in August.
